Tata Harrier EV Launched at ₹21.49 Lakh with 627km Range
Tata Motors has launched the electric version of its popular Harrier SUV in India. This new model is called the Harrier EV, and it comes with a starting price of ₹21.49 lakh (ex-showroom).
This launch places Tata in the premium electric SUV segment and supports its ongoing plan to expand its EV lineup, following the success of the Nexon EV and Punch EV.
A Strong Electric Powertrain
The Tata Harrier EV is built on Tata’s new electric platform called Acti.ev, which offers better battery placement, support for advanced technology, and a flexible design for different vehicle setups.
Buyers can pick between two battery options – a 65 kWh or a 75 kWh pack – with a claimed driving range of up to 627 km on a single charge.
It comes in both rear-wheel drive (RWD) and all-wheel drive (AWD) versions. The RWD is focused on efficiency, while the AWD has two motors for better power and is great for off-roading and sporty driving. Tata says it can go from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.3 seconds, making it one of the quickest in its class.
Charging is quick and future-ready with 120 kW DC fast charging, which can charge the battery from 20% to 80% in about 25 minutes. It also supports a 7.2 kW AC charger for regular home charging.
Premium and Futuristic Cabin

Inside, the Harrier EV comes with a major tech upgrade. It has a large 14.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster. The cabin is filled with premium features like:
- Panoramic sunroof
- Wireless charging
- Dual-zone climate control
- Ventilated front seats
- 10-speaker JBL sound system with Dolby Atmos
- Ambient lighting and high-quality materials for a premium feel
It also comes with Tata’s latest connected car technology, including:
- Digital key to lock, unlock, or start the car remotely
- Remote access via smartphone
Advanced Safety and ADAS
Safety is a major focus in the Harrier EV. It comes with multiple airbags, electronic stability control, and Level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), which include:
- Adaptive cruise control
- Lane-keeping assist
- Autonomous emergency braking
- Other smart safety aids
The SUV also features a 540-degree camera system with a transparent bonnet view, making it easier to see obstacles and drive in tight spaces.

Variants and Customization
Tata is offering the Harrier EV in different versions called ‘personas’—Adventure, Fearless, and Empowered—with each one having its own unique features and design style.
There’s also a bold “Stealth Edition” that comes with a matte black finish for a sportier, aggressive look. Buyers can choose from multiple color options, including bright whites and earthy shades.
Booking and Delivery
Bookings for the Harrier EV will officially open on July 2, 2025. Deliveries are expected to start soon after, as Tata plans to meet early demand through its nationwide dealership network.
Final Thoughts
With the Harrier EV, Tata Motors has raised the bar in India’s electric SUV market. It offers a long driving range, strong performance, modern interiors, and premium features, making it a great option for buyers who want to switch to electric without giving up on space or style.
